The cam splitter is a mechanism that achieves intermittent motion, with significant features such as high indexing accuracy, smooth operation, large torque transmission, self-locking during positioning, compact structure, small volume, low noise, good high-speed performance, and long service life. It is an ideal product to replace traditional mechanisms such as groove wheel mechanisms, ratchet mechanisms, incomplete gear mechanisms, and pneumatic control mechanisms. So how should the cam splitter be maintained?
1. Always clean up any debris, leftover materials, etc. around the transmission system. To prevent jamming movement.
2. Regular maintenance is required for the connection parts and transmission parts of the input and output shafts. Pay attention to the looseness of couplings, pulleys, sprockets, gears, and output transmission bodies. The tension of belts and sprockets, as well as the meshing clearance of gears, should be absolutely guaranteed to be in normal condition. If the following situations are found, the operation should be stopped immediately.
(1) Abnormal vibration occurs.
(2) An abnormal sound has occurred.
(3) There is a reverse impact in the stationary area of the cam.
(4) There is no segmented output in the corresponding number of intervals, or the segmented output is unstable or completely undivided at a certain position.
In this case, the mechanism can be removed, the rear cover of the mechanism can be opened, and the cause can be determined.
(1) If the cam is damaged and cannot be used again, you can contact to replace it. If there is no damage or minor damage, you can still use it and cannot adjust its axial position without permission.
(2) If the needle bearing in the dividing wheel is damaged, the output dividing shaft can be removed and the needle bearing replaced.
There are two ways, one is to loosen the output sleeve and take out the output shaft without loosening the rear end gland, so that the axial position remains unchanged when reinstalling. The second is to loosen the locking nut at the rear end of the output shaft and the output sleeve at the front end to remove the output shaft together with the sleeve. When reinstalling, simply lock the nut to return the output shaft to its original position.
